JailbreakMe, a new jailbreaking tool uses a serious security vulnerability in the Mobile Safari browser on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The user only needs to visit a web site to use the hack.

The way PDF is handled on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch opens the possibility to inject malicious code into PDF files and the devices will automatically run this code when the page is visited.

This may be good for the jailbreaking community, but poses a great security risk for the average user.

Macstories writes about a temporary fix for this issue.
